About the American Heart Association Skills Sessions

Interested in an American Heart Association Skills Session? Here’s how it works: You must purchase and complete the online portion of the AHA Heartcode class before registering for the skills session portion. We offer AHA Heartcode BLS, AHA Heartcode ACLS, and AHA Heartcode PALS classes. Before reserving a seat for the in-person portion of your American Heart Association skills session, make sure you have your 2020 AHA Heartcode completion certificate because you will need to upload it during registration. The blended learning, skills session only option can be completed by any student, however, is not recommended for first time students. You’ll receive your official AHA certification at the end of your American Heart Association Skills Session!

The 2020 Guidelines HeartCode uses a personalized adaptive algorithm that sets students on the most efficient path to mastery. Students follow a continuously adapting learning path that is personalized by their own inputs: their performance, and their self- reported confidence level related to each probing question. The course content is presented in the form of self-directed learning content, probing questions, and Cognitive Assessment Activities (CAAs).
